Lorraine and I took our first overseas trip together in August, to Ayers Rock in Australia for a few days. We stopped off overnight in Sydney and had dinner with a friend of Lorraine's before continuing to Uluru (Ayers Rock) where we stayed 4 nights at the 'Sails in the Desert' hotel in the Ayers Rock resort. The weather was dry and quite hot in the middle of the day, which we spent by or in the hotel pool. Every morning and evening we took an excursion to the nearby scenery. This is great for photography, which works best around dawn or sunset.
