In June of 2014, Lorraine and I flew to Melbourne where we joined a photographic tour of the Australian Outback, travelling in a 10-seater private 'plane. We landed mainly on small airstrips and stayed in reasonably comfortable accommodation of varying degrees of remoteness. The 'plane was the only practical way to visit most of these locations and maximised the time we spent photographing. The Australian Outback is an amazing collection of places from sand desert to large rivers and the coast. I'll let the photographs speak for themselves.
There are technical notes on photography here.
