In the European summer of 2007, we traveled to the U.K. via the Eastern Mediterranean.
We started with a few days in Venice, followed by an 11-day cruise on the Grand Princess to Rome via Greece, Croatia and Turkey.
We concluded with a fortnight in England and Wales, visiting friends and relations. Click here for some brief technical notes.
The photographic highlight was an afternoon with a professional photographer, Tony Boccaccio. We booked his tour, “Rome through the Lens” on Expedia.com. We were one of just two couples on this walking tour. Tony showed us a variety of fascinating sights en route from Piazza Navarona to the Forum and explained how to photograph them, as well as some history. Some of the places we would not have found on our own and others were greatly enhanced by Tony’s input. Highly recommended.
